Welcome to the Fumbling Actor
As a kid, I was nicknamed Lucy, which I was informed later in life was after Lucille Ball. My lanky, clumsy, awkward and (recently diagnosed ADHD) self, coincidentally turned my fumbling foolishness into a talent, it taught me to use my somewhat imperfections to my advantage and highlight life’s awkward moments through laughter.
So I present to you… The Fumbling Actor.
Acting is tough, if it was easy, everyone would do it and by no means do I claim to be an expert.
What I do know is, a lot of us creative folk, actors or the like, are a unique bunch. Whether you’re a fumbling mess, a little left of centre, quirky or a bit of an oddball, this is a platform to celebrate our differences.
The Fumbling Actor is a place to celebrate the weird and wonderful within the industry of acting, film and television. A space to bring lightness, humility, and of course humour to what can sometimes be an industry built on rejection. With the use of blogs, podcasts and random cat pictures, The Fumbling Actor endeavours to give a real and truthful view of all things within the acting realm.
It’s not about fame, it’s about being real, being human. So go! Take a look around.
And remember…Stay weird!
